Genevieve Nnaji, the popular Nigerian actress and filmmaker has signed a deal with United Talent Agency, UTA for film, TV, production representation. This is coming weeks after Netflix acquired worldwide streaming rights for the upcoming Nigerian family comedy, Lionheart, directed and starred by Nnaji.

UTA is a talent agency that represents great figures in the media, entertainment, motion pictures, music, television, digital, books, video games, fine art, broadcast news and live entertainment. The agency which has big names like Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie is recognized worldwide for film branding, packaging, licensing, finance, endorsements and representation of production talent.

Genevieve Nnaji, the Lionheart star is one of the highest paid actresses in Nollywood. she has starred in many Nigerian features like Tango With Me, Half of a Yellow Sun, Doctor Bello, Road to Yesterday and many others. Road to Yesterday was the first movie she produced.

The deal with UTA is expected to see a collaboration with the actress in the production of movies from Africa and Nigeria in particular. The movie Lionheart is the first original feature from Nigeria on Netflix.
